Cisco IP Phones come with several ring tones, and different tones can be selected for different lines on the phone.

Changing the Ring Tone:

1. Press the Menu button. Use the Navigation button to select ‘Ring Tone’ and press the ‘select’ Soft Key.

For Cisco SPA525G, press the Menu button. Use the Navigation button to select ‘User Preferences’ and then press the ‘select’ Soft Key. Select ‘Audio Preferences’ and press the ‘select’ Soft Key again.

2. Use the Navigation button to select the Line for which you want to set up the Ring Tone and press the ‘change’ Soft Key.

For Cisco SPA525G, use the Navigation button to select the Line for which you want to set up the Ring Tone and press right on the Navigation button.

3. Use the Navigation button to select a Ring Tone and press the ‘play’ Soft Key to listen to a preview of the selected Ring Tone. To confirm the selected Ring Tone, press the ‘select’ Soft Key.

4. Press the Menu button to return to the main screen.

Yealink

  1. Select Menu –> Basic Settings –> Sound –> Ring Tones in the phone menu (For the T42/T41 select Settings before Basic Settings).
  2. Select the VoIP account that you want to modify. By default all VoIP lines are set to "Common", so if you change the Common setting, it will change the ring tone for all lines.

 

Softphone

You can’t change the ringtone on the softphone.
